Perseverance and Persistance!

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 12, 2009, 9:51 AM
So I guess I will start from the beginning. It started about month and a half ago. I just happen to be sorting through my mail, clearing out all the junk and I came across the Careerbuilder.com job agent automated mailer. basically what it does is it mails you info about jobs in your area based on whatever criteria you set for it to search for. Normally I get random junk that has nothing at all to do with whats on my resumé, like sale and insurance gigs. So I usually just trash it without looking at it.

I clicked on it and read the job description, and to my amazement, I was actually qualified for the job. For the past 2 years I have been searching and came up empty handed because I usually see those jobs that I'm not qualified for or they want like 5 years of experience. So I applied for the job. I redid my resumé and made a nice cover letter.

About a week later I received a phone call and was set up for an interview the following Monday. So I took off that Monday at my current job. I went and bought new shoes and a portfolio book to take with me. In it I printed my resumé, my AAS and BS degrees, and a few samples of my work. I spent the whole weekend preparing myself for the interview. Monday came, I got up early and I relaxed my hair so it would look fresh. Got everything gathered and I left the house. I got on the interstate and I was about an hour away from my interview. I got a phone call telling me that they had to cancel my interview. I stopped my car and sat off the emergency lane. I was crushed.

I went home in a dark mood and played the hell out of Fallout 3. I was for lack of a better word pissed. My mood was ruined for the most part of the day. So I decided to email them back when I was in a better mood, in a professional manner. They set me up for Monday the following week. Friday came and I got a call in the middle of the day on my lunch break, explaining that my interview has once again been canceled. I didn't get mad this time because I didn't lose a day of work like the last time.

So when Monday came I emailed them back and I received a phone call explaining what has been going on and they apologized for the inconvenience. I was basically told that all interviews were canceled until further notice. So a Week went pass, and nothing. That following week on Friday I got a phone call and they set me up with an interview on Tuesday this time.

This time I successfully had my interview and it went well. I was told that I should hear something in about a week. The next day I sent a very appealing thank you Letter. Two hours later I went to lunch and I received a phone call that I will be hired on December 1st as a Graphic Design. I literally leaped for joy. I called everyone and told them the good news. So my persistence go me the job!

Bones are real easy to make. and wait, you don't know how to render? Are you using the Default Scanline Renderer of Mental Ray?

well, i clicked the render button and the renderer froze... and the bones are 2x the size of the model... on C4D the bones adjust their sizes to their lenght, but i heard that 3dstudio bones are better :/
